B. M. S. College of Engineering American Alumni Association
The American Alumni Association of BMSCE is a non-profit organization formed to bring the alumni of this college together to create a supporting arm to enhance the institution’s reputation as the premier engineering college that continues to graduate engineers with extraordinary ability to serve the community through their contribution as engineers. and community leaders.
BMSCE-AAA was founded in 1996 in Los Angles California with the basic concept that as alumni we need to give back something to the institution that gave us the break to be a standing member in our profession, community, and society at large. Some of our accomplishments have been:
• Award Merit-cum-Means scholarship on annual basis. In 11 years we have increased this Rupees 8000/- per student scholarship to 24
• We have 15 Life Donor members who have contributed US $1000 each.
• We have helped the Library to receive technical journals and some technical books that are critical to students growth
• We arrange technical exchange lectures and guest lectures on a periodic basis by alumni who visit Bengaluru.
• We have a very popular annual BMS ALUMNI DAY in November to award scholarships and also honor a distinguished alumnus. The attendance to this function has been steadily increasing every year.
Alumni have the most emotional attachment to their alma mater. As alumni we all share a common training, unforgettable experiences and fond memories about BMSCE, Bengaluru. We have gained a lot from the BMSCE experience and our time at this great institution has a profound influence in our respective professional and personal lives. For this and our gratitude to the institution it is important we work together for the success of BMSCE, its status as a premier world-class institute. Our efforts to accomplish this goal will generate the future generations who can continue the noble tradition of giving back.
We need all alumni to join us and help us to accomplish our modest but certainly achievable goals. The membership fee is $25 per year but the main support to our scholarship and other activities comes from tax deductible donations from members and others who like and appreciate what we are doing. We have an Alumni trust established and have currently Rupees 25 Laks in the trust. In this economy this is very modest!!
Please contact any of the office bearers for more information and become a participant in our activities.
